What a shame.It would appear that it is one step forward two steps back all the time in Nepal. The lovely people of Nepal deserve better. Lets hope with the next generation getting a better education that things will improve in the not too far distant future.

I also wish you a Happy Birthday, Billi. Thanks for updating us about the situation in Nepal. I wish for peace and stability in that country. I am also eagerly awaiting the writing that you promised about life in Base Camp other than just the physical climbing things. I hope that you will be able to write about that soon.
