		<description>Could also be that Hillary as member of the British Empire had a huge PR team at his disposal, starting with The Queen. It was another conquest for a fading empire and perhaps even one of the &#039;most important&#039; before the moon landing 16 years later. 
Same goes today as you well know. Everest is what people want to trek to see, brand Everest is what businesses want to be associated with. It&#039;s highest-ness is objective and definitive. Hardest route, most aesthetically pleasing mountain, bravest ascent, purest ascent are all subjective, require explaining and justifying and this fogs their impact. 
But still your point is correct. Lacedelli is part of the history of Pakistan and for that alone his death should be acknowledged.
