Office with a view

I am sitting on a rock near Pumori base camp after I went for a short morning walk to blow away the cobwebs. I have been at base camp for five days now and even though it is great to be here there is a lot of sitting around.

Our Sherpas have been to camp 2 on Everest several times carrying ropes, tents, food, oxygen bottles and whatever is needed up there. They usually leave at 2am and are already back at 8am. Our team has come back from their acclimatisation trip to Lobuje East and with the Lhotse, Nuptse and more Trekkers arriving tomorrow, our camp should host around 100 people all together!

For now I had better go back to base camp as the wind is biting up here.
